Recording and AI-Voice Notice
Last updated July 15, 2026
AIOS voice agents record calls and disclose, at the start of each call, that they are AI calling from your business on a recorded line. This notice explains what is recorded and what you, as the business, are responsible for. AIOS is operated by NoManagement B.V. (Netherlands).
What your agent says at the start of every call
Every AIOS voice agent discloses, at the very start of each call, that it is an AI assistant calling from your business and that the call is being recorded. A typical opening is: "Thanks for calling [business]. You're speaking with our AI voice assistant, not a person, and this call is recorded for quality and training. Is it okay to continue?" This disclosure is built in as code, so it is always present and cannot be quietly switched off.
Why calls are recorded
AIOS records and transcribes the calls its agents place and answer so it can understand the conversation, qualify and follow up, keep an accurate record for you, and prove what was disclosed. By default, recordings and transcripts are kept while your account is active. You can set an automatic deletion window, and the service enforces it on a schedule, deleting or de-identifying recordings and transcripts once the window passes, subject to legal holds and a short backup-purge window. See our Privacy Policy.
Recording consent is your responsibility
You are the party recording the call under the law, and you are solely responsible for recording lawfully. Some US states require every party on a call to consent to being recorded, not just one. These all-party consent states are commonly listed as California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington (California's rule is in Penal Code section 632, and a few states are treated differently for phone versus in-person recording). Because a caller can be in any of these states and you often cannot tell where they are before the call connects, the safe practice is to disclose recording and get consent at the start of every call, which is exactly what your agent's built-in disclosure does. Where a state or country requires more, you are responsible for obtaining that additional consent and for meeting the recording rules that apply in the places you call.
How consent is captured
On a phone call, your agent gives the recording and AI disclosure at the very start, before any conversation, and the caller consents by choosing to stay on the line and continue after being informed. This stay-on-line disclosure is the standard way consent is captured. For sensitive use cases, a stricter mode that asks the caller for explicit verbal consent before the conversation continues can be made available; this is optional and is not the default.
Consent records
AIOS logs each call's disclosure with its exact wording, a SHA-256 hash of that wording, and a timestamp, and keeps a tamper-evident consent record. This gives you evidence, on each specific call, that the disclosure was given in the words that were spoken.
What you attest when you build an agent
When you tick the box to build an agent, you confirm that: for every number your agent calls or texts, you hold the consent the law requires (including prior express written consent for marketing calls under the TCPA); your agent will disclose at the start of each call that it is an AI assistant calling from your business on a recorded line; you will scrub the National Do-Not-Call Registry at least every 31 days; and you will honor opt-out requests. AIOS does not obtain this consent for you, and you are solely responsible for compliance.
AI disclosure
Beyond recording, a growing number of laws require that a person be told they are dealing with AI. AIOS agents disclose that they are AI at the start of each interaction. You must keep this disclosure in place. Full detail is in our AI Transparency Statement and the Compliance Addendum.
If you are the person who was called
If an AIOS agent called you and you want the recording, a copy of your data, or to opt out, email the address below. AIOS operates these agents on behalf of the businesses that use it, so we will route your request to the business responsible for the call. AIOS is operated by NoManagement B.V. (KVK 80968724), Spijkerkade 31, 1021 JS Amsterdam, Netherlands.
